#Sympathy #cards are those which I try to have on hand for when needed. I mean, the last thing you want to do is have to sit down and concentrate on creating if you are in need of a card for a loss in your or someone else’s life.
A few years ago we had the Swallowtail stamp and it has continued to be a go-to for me for sympathy as well as note cards. It is gorgeous and just has such wow factor. A couple of months ago, I made some sympathy cards with that stamp set as well as the Falling in Love designer series paper from the Occasions 2017 catalogue. I realized yesterday I never did post my final creations. The products used will be listed below and linked to my online store for you to order and have at your door. Of course, those products not currently available will not be listed.
Card 1: Swallowtail in Sweet Sugarplum (in-color 2016-2018)
Card 2: Swallowtail in Crumb Cake
I wanted to share these with you so you can see how easily our current stamp set called Beautiful You can be used to make sympathy cards with an uplifting sentiment. Both cards are very simple, cardstock base, some layered papers, the butterfly (you can insert any stamp of flowers or other that you would see appropriate), a 1 3/4 punch for the sentiment (I used a retired scallop punch but you can use a circle or any of the layering framelits in oval or circle) and of course, the Beautiful You stamp set.
Here is the Beautiful You stamp set, it is great value for money as it is a double stamp pack, comes in two cases.
Product list for first card:
Happy Creating!! #yourstampinscrapbooker

So how did she make the pockets and other goodies to add to your planner? Great question, apparently she was asked a lot after putting out that first video on how she did her planner so here is video #2 with the scoop on the answers.
She talks about:
- How to assemble the planner from the packaging
- How to make the pocket holder to put in your planner
- How to make a file folder
- How to make extra bookmarks using window sheets
Special thanks to Elizabeth Shannon for her awesome videos!! Watch for a FACEBOOK live tomorrow morning to show off my creation!!!

As I have been organizing my planner and getting excited about the year to come, thought I’d share my Facebook live from a couple of days ago… please be kind, I forgot that I had to switch my phone so the whole thing is horizontal! So sorry!!! That’s what I get for not doing that very often! Apologies again but if you care bare with it, lots of great product to share and tips and ideas for the new goodies!
I will do a live of my planner once it’s pretty much put together. With our busy life, hence the need for a planner, I haven’t had time to finish filling in all the months, etc. I’m enjoying the planner bonding time!
Here is a link to my Facebook page live from Friday!
If you haven’t noticed, my first pick for the new catalogue was the Love Today Planner Kit!! I’m so excited about Stampin Up adding this to their product line and for all the organizing and fun we can have with it! Check out my Facebook live video I posted yesterday and check out the video below of the demo sharing all her ideas on how to use the planner!
Shop Here for my online store or contact me to get you yours today! (ha, no pun intended)!
Planner Video by Elizabeth Shannon – great work, Shannon!
I’ve posted in the past how to create these gorgeous Z fold cards, previously I posted birthday cards for both boy and girl using the Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating Up, Up and Away framelits. Click here to see the post with the instructions!
These beauties are back in our brand new annual catalogue that launched only days ago. I have used some retired designer series paper but really, I’m sharing this card to show off how versatile a card it is and has such wow factor!!
The other product I want to highlight that I used in all of the cards is the large letters framelits! (page 179, annual catalogue) The “CONGRATS” didn’t quite fit perfectly but I rolled the dice on having one of the letters fold over into the card and I am really happy with how it turned out. Sometimes you have to go against what you have always done and try new things.
This is the supply list for my creation for “Papa” found in my previous post, but I’ll add it here so you have a general idea of the supplies needed. Obviously the designer series paper and cardstock colours are different. Please contact for more information.
